Afraid of who I saw in the Mirror

I've not found any lady who doesn't like to look into the mirror. We do that especially when we are dressed so cool. *winks* The mirror is a lady's best friend. I don't know about the guys. Wait, do you guys like the mirror too? That's weird. LOL.

It's normal for me to smile, giggle and even dance when I look into the mirror. But this morning, something strange happened. . .

I was Afraid of who I saw in the Mirror

I was all dressed up and ready to go to work. I decided to steal another glance at the mirror before heading for the door. OMG, I saw somebody, not smiling. Not giggling. Not dancing.

Yes, of course she looked beautiful and all that. But I didn't even see that at that minute. It was her face that caught my eyes. Oh yes, my heart too.

The face was straight. The look was deep. I was afraid of who it was.

"What?" I wasn't sure I said that or whispered it. I was scared of how she looked at me piercingly.

I stood spell-bound. She must have used a charm on me. So much for being charming, I guess.

She held her ear and said:

"Hey! I saw you yesterday. Stop it. Don't take yourself for granted."

"Huh?" as I realized I had done something not-so-nice yesterday. And I was probably almost going to repeat it.  "I'm sorry." I apologized.

Then she smiled.

That was me. The me in me who would not accept anything less. The one who believes in me. She loves me that much to reprimand me.

What do you see when you look into the mirror?
If you can't speak to yourself to change, then you can't speak change to somebody else.
Be the change you want to see. It starts with you.

  1. When I look in the mirror I see greatness. I smile to my accomplishments and I remind the man in the mirror that the journey is far from over.
